Our story

About Scheduling Concepts.

Scheduling Concepts was founded by an active police officer to replace the whiteboards, spreadsheets and call lists most agencies still use to schedule their staff.

Why we built it

Many public safety agencies still schedule with a whiteboard, a spreadsheet, an overtime call list and paper leave slips. Scheduling Concepts replaces them with one system: employees see their schedule, supervisors see who is available and where coverage is short, and administrators set it up around the agency’s own units and rules.

  • Built from inside the profession

Scheduling Concepts was founded by someone active in law enforcement, who works alongside dispatchers, firefighters and medics. The green sheet, the callback order, rest checks and subpoena responses come from how shifts actually run.

  • One deployment per agency

Each deployment serves one agency, from a small department to a combined public safety agency, with its own units, types of work, shift templates, minimums and access.

  • Transparency

We say what is in place and what is not yet, including security and certification.

  • Data handling

Demonstrations use fictional records. Real personnel data is used only after we have worked through your agency’s security requirements.
